About

The Scanner page contains an almost-live audio stream of the local public safety radio channels around the Kearney/Buffalo County Nebraska region. Along the sidebar, there is a list of the standard 10-codes used by the Nebraska State Patrol.

Some disclaimers and things to note:

  • An account is now required in order to listen to the stream. Email confirmation will be required soon as well.
  • Due to overhead of streaming online, and an additional artificial delay, all audio is at least a minute or more behind the actual transmissions.
  • All audio on this stream is strictly decoded from the P25 digital signal and can be heard by anyone with a trunking scanner.
  • Encrypted data/voice IS NOT/CAN NOT/WILL NOT be decrypted. Only UNENCRYPTED voice data is streamed.

Disclaimer: the scanner page will remain up until it is no longer feasible. If it becomes an issue, or I receive a request to take it down, I will.
